Meet Deb Christensen
Born in Montana and now living in Oregon with her husband of nearly fifty years, Deb Christensen is a mother of three and grandmother of ten. Her life has been shaped by faith, family, perseverance, and the belief that hope can be found even in life’s most difficult seasons.
Those experiences have deeply influenced the stories she writes. Through characters facing loss, uncertainty, love, and unexpected turns in life, Deb explores the strength of the human spirit and the grace that can be found along the way.
She writes faith-based fiction that blends romance, cozy mystery, and a touch of suspense—stories grounded in the struggles of everyday life but ultimately centered on faith, hope, and love.
“You can’t change your circumstances;
You can only change your attitude.
Choose to be a victor or a victim.”
— My mother, E. Francis
Why I Write
I believe stories can remind us that even in our most difficult seasons, hope is never completely out of reach.
Life doesn’t always follow the path we expect. We experience loss, disappointment, uncertainty, and change—but we also discover love, courage, forgiveness, and grace in places we never anticipated. Those are the journeys I want to explore through my characters.
My faith is at the heart of the stories I tell. I don’t write about perfect people with perfect lives. I write about ordinary people facing real struggles, learning to trust, finding strength they didn’t know they had, and discovering that even after sorrow, there can be joy.
If one of my stories gives a reader a few hours of enjoyment, touches their heart, or simply reminds them that there is always reason to hope, then I have accomplished what I set out to do.
